Security Camera's
Have a residential camera (Nest, Ring, etc)?   Register it with the sheriff's office so they can contact you for assistant IF there is an incident near your address:  Walton County Sheriff.     The sheriff's office will not have access to your feed, but your volunteering to help if needed could help the sheriff's office keep Seaside safe.   Registration is under Community/Community Services/Camera Registration.

If you are having a mosquito issue, a service request can be initiated online.  You can also enroll to receive notifications regarding when spraying will occur.

Beach Warning Flags
Be familiar with the beach warning flag system.  Violations of the double red flag are subject to fines ($500 per incident as of May 2021).  

Do you rent or otherwise have guests visit when you are not there?
Consider printing the Florida Beach Warning Flags Sign and including it in your cottage guide and/or post it along with any other cottage guide signage.
